Them bloody front-rows.
Former Ireland captain Brian O’Driscoll has revealed who his worst ever teammate was to room and of course it had to be a front-row.
The retired centre was speaking to Ugo Moyne on BBC’s Rugby Union Weekly, and revealed there’s nothing quite like rooming with one of the acclaimed members of the front row union.
“I never liked a front-rower,” he told Monye.
“They’re a different breed.”
When probed as to which former front-row forward was the worst, O’Driscoll went with former Munster and Ireland star John Hayes.
“I’ve slagged him before so I probably won’t get abused by him for a second time so maybe John Hayes.
“He’s his own man too. There was no telling him too but I liked that about his character. Probably a bit of a harsh call but I’ll go with Hayes.”
Luckily for BOD he didn’t have to room with too many people over the years as he was afforded his own room for most of his career as captain. Lucky bugger.
