What a moment.
Munster proved to the world once again on Friday night, they are not to be taken lightly. The famous southern province welcomed and defeated on of rugby’s international mega powers, and not for the first time.
Over the years the likes of the All Blacks and the Wallabies have visited Thomond Park and walked away empty handed, the Maori All Blacks were no different last night. Running in four tries in a famous victory, last night we once again witnessed history.
What happened before the rugby however, is what has everyone talking. Maori All Blacks captain Ash Dixon approached the Munster faithful, laying out one of their jersey’s with Anthony Foley’s initials on the back, in tribute to the late rugby star, before laying down the challenge with their world famous haka.
Dixon then presented the special jersey to Foley’s two sons, Dan and Tony.
The Axel Foley Memorial Facebook page, set up by Foley’s son Tony have not come out with a heartwarming gesture, thanking the Maori for their gift.
