Fijian born All Blacks winger Waisake Naholo has urged the British & Irish Lions to add the Pacific Islands to their future tour schedules.
The Lions only visit New Zealand, South Africa and Australia but are considering adding fixtures against other nations from 2021 onwards. Naholo faced the Lions on Tuesday, grabbing a try as his side the Highlanders secured a famous win.
I’d love to see the Lions take on Fiji, Argentina and the Pacific Island countries,’ Naholo told Sportsmail.
‘I was on Facebook the other day and I saw an old clip from way back when Fiji played the Lions. Way before I was born. How good would it be if they did it again? It would be great for rugby.”
What do you think? Would you like to see the Lions face other nations?
