All Blacks Star Reveals He’s Been Talking To Premiership Clubs

All Blacks star Malakai Fekitoa could well be on his way to the Aviva Premiership next season.

The Highlanders centre is out of contract at the end of the current Super Rugby season, with his future still very much up in the air. He is yet to commit to a new long-term deal and at 24, would be a huge loss to Steve Hansen and his All Blacks side as they look to defend their Rugby World Cup title in 2019.

Fekitoa has revealed that a number of overseas clubs have contacted him, including a number of English Premiership clubs.

“I don’t know what’s going to pop up after this. I would love to stay or maybe look at elsewhere,” he told The New Zealand Newswire.
“I just have to see what’s best for me and my career, and also my family.”

AThe New Zealand Herald reports, Fekitoa is one of 15 children and earning more money in Europe would help his family financially, so a move could very well be on the cards, despite being a regular in the All Blacks set-up.
