Ben Smith is going nowhere.
All Blacks fullback Ben Smith has resisted the advances from a number of European clubs and committed his long-term future to New Zealand.
The talented back has been linked with a number of moves to French clubs and even Irish province Munster in recent months, and was thought to be close to agreeing a move to Pau with link up with former teammate Conrad Smith.
He has now ended all speculation by reportedly signing a deal with the NZRU until 2020, taking him beyond the current Rugby World Cup 2018 cycle.
His signature will be seen as a massive coup for the All Blacks who have seen a host of their stars jump ship in recent months, including playmaker Aaron Cruden who has signed a deal with French giants Montpellier.
