Wales skipper Alun Wyn Jones is set to be named 2021 British and Irish Lions captain when Warren Gatland names his touring squad for South Africa tomorrow, according to the Telegraph.
Jones has long been mooted as the man to lead the Lions this summer and it looks like the Welsh lock will indeed be the man to captain the famous touring side.
The report also adds that Exeter forward and 2020 European Player of the Year, Sam Simmonds will be named in Gatland’s squad tomorrow despite being overlooked by England boss Eddie Jones in recent seasons.
Another ‘bolter’ who has not been playing international rugby of late is also said to be in the frame to travel.
