Wales Make Shock Announcement Ahead Of Six Nations Clash With Ireland

The boys are back in town.

Wales have dropped a bit of a bombshell, revealing that their the whole squad is fully fit for their Six Nations clash with Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this weekend.

Liam Williams and Hallan Amos were always expected to return after making their returns this past weekend with their clubs. But the news that Dan Biggar and Taulupe Faletau are back has come as a huge surprise.

Biggar and Faletau weren’t expected back until the final two rounds at the very earliest. Leigh Halfpenny has also recovered from a foot problem that kept him out of the England game.

Speaking to WRU TV, Wales forward coach Robin McBryde revealed the entire squad is fit and raring to go.

“Everybody has been given the green light,” said McBryde.

“Obviously a few boys are happy that they’ve scored on the weekend and had some good wins. It’s good to have everybody back with a spring in their step and looking forward to Sat.

“It’s nice to have headaches in a few positions. It’s always good to have plenty to choose from and there’s a competitive edge to the squad. It will be a tough call on a few individuals but we’re looking forward to having those discussions later.”

It’s gonna be interesting to see Gatland’s team selection…
