Raining offloads.
Super Rugby in the New Zealand conference got underway this morning and the first match was an absolute belter of epic proportions.
The very first game between the Blues and Highlanders might have featured the try-of-the-season. But as we all know with Super Rugby, we’re probably gonna end up saying that at least a billion times this season, such is a quality of rugby.
The devastating Auckland Blues backline trio of Sonny Bill Williams, Rieko Ioane, and Matt Duffie brought out all the tricks this morning, with one of the most beautifully constructed tries you will ever see.
It was a brilliant try and put the Blues up 14-10 after 24 minutes, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough as they lost the tie 41-34.
Anyway. Sit back, relax, and just admire the try in all its beauty.
Just @Rieko_Ioane, Matt Duffie, and @SonnyBWilliams doing their best Sonny Bill Williams impressions… It's raining offloads in #HIGvBLU, live on SS Action now. 24-31 with half an hour left to play. #SuperRugby pic.twitter.com/yjSclwWXox
