Munster Rugby’s search for a new head coach following the departure of Graham Rowntree appears to be over.
Rowntree and Munster parted ways last year with Ian Costello filling in on an interim basis as the province searched for a permanent replacement.
According to the New Zealand Herald, current Chiefs head coach Clayton McMillan will depart the club at the end of the Super Rugby season to join the southern province.
McMillan took charge of the All Blacks XV that defeated Munster in Thomond Park back in November.
McMillan is in his fifth year as Chiefs coach and has led the franchise to three Super Rugby finals and a semifinal.
