Deserved?
Ulster flanker Matthew Rea has just been red-carded in his side’s inter-provincial clash with rivals Connacht at Kingspan stadium for a dangerous aerial challenge.
The blindside competed from an Ulster kick-off, but ended up taking out Connacht replacement Cian Kelleher, who landed dangerously – but not on his head.
Referee Andrew Brace said Rea was not in a realistic position to claim the ball
“He’s not in a realistic position, he’s taken him out in the air and he’s landed dangerously” Brace said.
