The vision, the execution, the brilliance.
Beauden Barrett managed to get himself sent-off in this morning’s game with the Waratahs but not before he pulled off this sumptuous pass to set up an incredible try his Hurricanes side.
The All Blacks ten mixed some breathtaking skill with two yellow cards; the second of which earned him the first red of his career.
Both were the result of instinctive knockdowns near the Hurricanes’ tryline, that gave referee Marius van der Westhuizen no option but to reach into his left pocket and send off the World Player of the Year.
The Hurricanes were 21-0 up, when Barrett was shown his first card in the 18th minute, before getting the second 60 minutes later. The Waratahs mounted a spirited fight back in the second-half, but the Canes held on for a 38-28 win.
