Nasty.
Former Ulster and Ireland centre Stuart Olding was shown a red card this afternoon for a challenge that ended horrifically as Brive took on Angouleme in the PRO D2.
The 25-year-old has been in excellent form for the French side since signing for them over the summer. He was recently awarded a new deal as a result of his fine form, but now could face a ban for this challenge.
In fairness to Olding – it looked like it was an honest attempt at a tackle that just went horribly wrong. He shook his opponents hand after being shown red by the referee, and looked really upset over the whole ordeal. Luckily for him Brive still ran out 31-18 winners.
Have a look below for yourself.
