Star man.
When Joey Carbery made the huge decision to switch from the blue of Leinster to the red of Munster over the summer there were plenty of doubters.
Those doubters however, have been completely silenced over the last few weeks thanks to three near perfect performances from the youngster, who has proven his move was thoroughly justified. Carbery has finally had a chance to take control of the ten jersey and he’s grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
After a disappointing outing against Castres from the boot, Carbery has dusted himself down over the last three weeks with a 100% kicking rate in the wins over Leinster, Connacht and Gloucester, showing serious resolve. A huge, and almost neccessary characteristic to have as an outhalf.

His kick in behind for Conway’s try tonight was nothing short of world class. He’s also adding tries to his game with three in his last two games. This kid is the real deal and without doubt the heir to Johnny Sexton’s throne.
Leinster’s loss is most certainly Munster and Ireland’s gain.
