Session.
Finn Russell was sent back to his club by Scotland following a drinking incident on Sunday evening that led to him not showing up for training on Monday, according to Sky Sports.
The outhalf reportedly ignored several requests to stop drinking at the hotel bar after he met up with his international teammates following Racing 92’s Champions Cup defeat to Saracens last Sunday.
He then later left the team hotel of his own accord to return home to Stirling before missing Monday’s session. He was then told he would not play against Ireland but was asked to return to training to aid with preparations on Thursday.
But Russell refused and is now back in France. Scotland are apparently hopeful he will play a part in the remaining Six Nations games but that remains to be seen.
