Best of the best.
The pool stages of the 2023 Rugby World Cup have officially come to an end, with just eight teams now remaining in the competition.
Just Ireland, New Zealand, France, South Africa, England, Wales, Fiji, and Argentina remain ahead of the quarter-final stages this weekend as we get closer and close to naming our latest world champions.
But which players stood out in the pool stages?
Stat experts Opta have put together a team of the best performers in the pool stages, with no fewer than three Irish players, Bundee Aki, Garry Ringrose, and Tadhg Beirne – all making the cut.
Their opponents New Zealand have just one player in the team, with winger Will Jordan making the cut. Have a look at the selection in full below and let us know what you think.
