Whoops.
Scotland were moments away from a famous victory over Olympic champions Fiji at the Dubai Sevens this morning, before one of their players committed an absolute howler.
With just seconds left on the clock, Scotland trailed Fiji by three points, before winger Jamie Farndale got the ball out wide and danced his way past two defender for what appeared to be the match winning try.
But akin to Freddie Burns’ howler against Toulouse last month – Farndale failed to ground the ball as he got over, ending up in touch thanks to a last ditch tackle. At least he didn’t celebrate early I suppose?
Jamie Farndale won't want to see this again! Two points down against Fiji with 15 seconds on the clock, all he had to do was put the ball down…
