No substance.
Sale Sharks have released a statement in response to reports suggesting they are set to sign form Ulster and Ireland players Stuart Olding and Paddy Jackson.
The Premiership side say there is “no substance to the rumours” refuting claims Jackson has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, with Olding set to follow suit.
“Sale Sharks can confirm there is no substance to the rumours currently circulating in relation to the signing of the two international rugby players Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding.
Our search continues for top class players to bolster the squad for next season”
It might be worth noting that Sale similarly came out and denied they had agreed a deal to sign Springbok Faf de Klerk last season, as well as Wallaby James O’Connor, before it was revealed they had indeed agreed deals to sign both.
There could be more to this story yet…
