Plant.
Former Munster and Ireland outhalf has had his say on the fan that invaded the pitch following Saturday’s Champions Cup semi-final clash between Munster and Saracens.
The unnamed fan ran onto the pitch and confronted Billy Vunipola following his controversial decision to support Israel Folau’s homophobic outburst on social media.
The fan has since been banned by the Ricoh Arena, with Munster revealing they will be investigating the incident further. But O’Gara isn’t too sure he was indeed a “Munster fan” especially given his questionable choice of footwear.
“I don’t know was he a Munster fan. He was in tailored shorts and boating shoes,” O’Gara told Off The Ball AM
“There’ll have to be a steward’s enquiry on that. I reckon he was a plant.”
“All he was missing was the Brown Thomas bag.”
“Wasn’t he lucky Vunipola didn’t go at him?”
"All he was missing was the Brown Thomas bag…"@RonanOGara10 has his doubts about one fan's credibility 😂
