“He’s such a great player.”
Leinster and Ireland centre Robbie Henshaw says losing Joey Carbery to Munster was “devastating” but he believes the outhalf has made the right decision in moving down south to their rivals.
Henshaw says Carbery, who’s set to make his Munster debut against the Cheetahs later this evening, will definitely improve his game – especially with Conor Murray set to partner him at halfback in the coming months.
He says it’s going to be “tough” playing against a player of his calibre, but at the same time is “excited” to see how he gets on with his new province.
“It was obviously devastating to lose a player of his calibre. He’s such a great player.” Henshaw told us.
“But I think for him he’s made a good move to Munster and I think he’ll definitely improve them.”
“I think he’ll go really well. I think himself and Conor Murray will be really good together. It’s going to be tough playing against him because he’s such a good player.”
“It’s going to be exciting as well though to see how he goes. I’ve full confidence in him to perform.
Let’s hope he’s right.
