Guns blazing.
Ireland continue their Rugby World Cup 2023 campaign this weekend with their toughest test to date, as they get set to take on the reigning world champions, South Africa.
Both sides are undefeated in their respective campaigns so far – but both are yet to be tested like they will this weekend, as the top two ranked teams in the rankings to toe-to-toe on the world’s stage.
All the talk so far this week has been about South Africa’s decision to introduce their already infamous ‘7-1’ split for the first time at the World Cup, but we don’t expect anything too radical from Ireland to counteract that.
We had a go at picking our Ireland squad during the week, but before tomorrow’s official announcement is made, the Irish Times have published their predicted team for Saturday, and it’s a pretty formidable selection from 1 -23.
