Absolutely no need for this.
ITV have been criticised online for their hugely disrespectful caption under Greig Laidlaw’s name during their Six Nations coverage yesterday.
The Scotland captain, who’s Six Nations campaign ended after an ankle injury against France in Paris, joined the hosts in studio as a guest pundit for the much anticipated Calcutta Cup clash.
After England has secured an impressive win, the camera focused in on Laidlaw for his thoughts on the performance. As you can see in the picture above, Laidlaw’s poor record against England was highlighted instead of using one of his many accolades in rugby.
Needles for ITV, and hugely disrespectful after asking the Scotland captain to come on the show.
Jeez. The Scotland captain deserves a whole lot more respect than that crass caption https://t.co/s9iWRhB9Uq

The caption for Laidlaw just sums up the English coverage and commentary entirely🙄 #wankers pic.twitter.com/5mqjevviZX

#ShameOnYou @ITVRugby for Laidlaw caption. Yet another reason why you are unfit for @SixNationsRugby 140 characters is too few to list all 😠 https://t.co/I3EcLsz5Br
