Out.
England international Owen Farrell will miss Saracens’ quarter final clash with Glasgow Warriors because his wife has gone into labour with their first child.
Farrell was set to start at ten this afternoon, but will now be replaced by Alex Goode who moves from fullback to the outhalf slot. Liam Williams takes his place at 15, with Dave Strettle coming onto the wing.
The door is apparently open for Farrell to arrive late onto the bench – but it’s unlikely.
A massive blow for the two-time European champions, but family comes first.
Bit going on here at Saracens. Owen Farrell will ostensibly miss Glasgow match as wife is in labour with 1st child. Goode to 10, Williams to 15, Strettle to the wing. Unlikely but door is open to Farrell to arrive late & appear from the bench @btsportrugby
