Munster have confirmed the signings of Argentina international Lucas González Amorosino and Australia born Sean Doyle on three month contracts.
Amorosino’s signing was let out of the bag by the player himself earlier this week.
Amorosino will act as a temporary replacement for Felix Jones who was forced to announce his premature retirement on Wednesday.
Australian Sean Doyle who joined Ulster in 2012 before returning home to join the Brumbies two years later has come in as cover for the injured Peter O’Mahony. While he may not have the international experience of the rumoured Leonardo Senatore, Doyle was certainly a loss to Ulster in 2014 judging by what Mark Anscombe had to say at the time.
The one that stands out for me and who I’d be most regretful of all to be losing is Sean Doyle. I think he’s got the potential to be an outstanding loose forward.
Both men come in on temporary contracts.
