Munster Rugby have been handed a massive fitness boost ahead of their Investec Champions Cup quarter-final showdown with Bordeaux-Begles this weekend.
The southern province secured their spot in the last eight with a stunning win away from home against two-time champions La Rochelle last weekend but will have to go to the well once again this weekend if they are to overcome a Bordeaux side who defeated Ulster in their last 16 encounter.
The good news is, Thaakir Abrahams has returned to full training after being hauled off with a cramp on Saturday, and will be available for seletion.
The South African showed what he’s capable of, after missing much of the season through injury, with a stunning break to set up Craig Casey’s try against La Rochelle.
Jeremy Loughman was also forced off in that game and will go for a scan on his leg to determine the extend of the damage.
Continuing to rehab: Ethan Coughlan (hamstring), Billy Burns (shoulder), Shane Daly (hamstring), Diarmuid Kilgallen (thigh), Mike Haley (ankle), Dave Kilcoyne (Achilles), Liam Coombes (chest), Edwin Edogbo (Achilles), Roman Salanoa (knee).
