Munster Rugby secured their spot in the quarter-final stages of this season’s Investec Champions Cup with a stunning win against two-time champions La Rochelle away from home yesterday evening.
In classic Munster fashion, the Irish province escaped France with a one-point win after upwards of 3000 fans made their way over for a special fixture against club legend Ronan O’Gara’s side.
Scrumhalf Craig Casey once again starred for Munster on just his second game back following a serious knee injury, grabbing his side’s first try thanks to a stunning break from Thaakir Abrahams.

But what was the story with his bow and arrow celebration?
“It was something we talked about during the week because he [Abrahams] is so dangerous,” Casey said when asked about the try.
“I was like, ‘If you get a counter-attack, I’ll just stay upfield, and I’ll be on your inside.’ I’m just scouting how he plays!
“But I was running on quicksand near the end, I was looking around, and Leyds was catching up with me! I was like, ‘Oh my god, if I get caught here, it’ll be so embarrassing. A special try.
“The celebration was for Shane Daly, just before anyone asks! He’s one of the injured crew and he dared me to it if we scored! So nice one for him!
What a top player! He has made a huge difference to Munster since his return.
