Munster have added scrumhalf Neil Cronin to their Champions Cup squad for the pool stages, as the province gets set to take on Exeter Chiefs on Saturday in Sandy Park, before hosting Gloucester in Thomond Park next week.
Cronin takes the place of outhalf Bill Johnston, but is not expected to be fit in time for this weekend’s game as he continues to recover from a shoulder problem picked up against Glasgow last month.
Glasgow meanwhile have added Petrus Du Plessis to their squad, having signed him today on a deal until the end of the season, while Scarlets have added Tom Price to their squad.
In the Challenge Cup – Connacht have added Australian David Horwitz to their squad, while Sale Sharks have added Thomas Bristow to their squad after England international Marland Yarde was ruled out for the season today.

Notes on additional players.
Each club may select three Additional Players during the course of the pool stage, one of whom must be a front row player. The nominated Additional Player will replace a registered member of the club’s squad and no Heineken Champions Cup squad will exceed 41 players at any time during the pool stage.
The deregistered player may return to the squad at a later date during the pool stage and replace the Additional Player he was originally replaced by. Clubs must ensure that the Additional Player has not been nominated in a match squad of another club in the same tournament during the current season.
The Additional Player will be eligible to play in the next round of pool matches if his nomination is received by EPCR by noon GMT on the Tuesday before the match.
The player must have at least a three-month contract with the club.
