Done deal.
London Irish are a side on a serious recruitment mission fuelled by a huge war chest thanks to the CVC deal with Premiership Rugby.
The Exiles currently sit top of the English Championship and look destined for promotion. And should they come up this time – they’re planning on sticking around a lot longer than they did the last time they got promoted.
A few weeks back they announced the capture of Wallbies Nick Phipps and Curtis Rona, before shocking the world with the signing of Ireland international Sean O’Brien.
And now it looks like they’re about to add an All Black to their ranks, with RugbyPass reporting a deal is done for winger Waisake Naholo to join Declan Kidney’s side next season, beating off competition from Wasps.
The report also suggests they’re hot on the heels of another Wallaby in lock Adam Coleman, although a deal for Tongan forward Steve Mafi has apparently fallen through. Either way Irish are assembling a serious team with Paddy Jackson also said to be en route.
