Big bucks.
The rugby world was shocked last week when it emerged that RG Snyman looks set to swap Munster for inter-provincial rivals Leinster when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Munster announced last month that they would not be renewing Snyman’s contract after an injury-laded few years with the southern province, who opted to retain the services of another World Cup winner in Jean Kleyn, who has been a stalwart for the club since signing way back in 2016.
Bath seemed close to agreeing a deal with Snyman, with the Stormers also believed to be in the hunt. But now it appears Leinster’s offer for the monstrous second-row will be enough to get a deal over the line.
According to RugbyPass, Leinster are willing to pay Snyman a staggering € 500,000 a season to make the move up the road in a deal that would make him one of their highest-paid players.
No doubt, a deal too good to turn down. But will it be money well spent given his injury history?
