Heartbreaking.
Lions forwards Alun Wyn Jones and Justin Tipuric have both reportedly suffered shoulder injuries after being forced off early on against Japan this afternoon.
Captain Jones was the first to go after getting caught awkwardly at the breakdown while trying to compete for the ball. The Welshman looked dejected coming off with reports coming in that he may have dislocated his shoulder.
Should this be the case you can’t imagine he will tour with the Lions and may end up being replaced before he’s even got a chance to board the plane to South Africa.
Tipuric looked equally dejected but there’s no word yet as to the full extent of his injury, which is also to the shoulder. We should have a full update after the game when we speak to the coaches.
