History awaits.
Joe Schmidt has named his Ireland team for this weekend’s mammoth Grand Slam showdown with old rivals England at Twickenham.
Ireland have already secured the championship, but will not be content with just that. Joe Schmidt has never won a Grand Slam, with only two of the current squad remaining (Rory Best, Rob Kearney) from their last triumph in 2009.
As expected Schmidt has selected an unchanged backline. Kearney, Earls, and top try-scorer Jacob Stockdale make up the back three, with Ringrose and Aki continuing in the centre. Johnny Sexton and Conor Murray are once again at halfback.
In the pack Iain Henderson comes back in to replace Devin Toner.
