Not bad at all.
Saracens yesterday revealed that they had tied down their star man Owen Farrell on a long-term, 5-year contract. The length of the deal is one of the first of its kind, with the European Champions making a statement in relation to holding onto their playmaker for the foreseeable future.
Farrell will remain at the club that he has called ‘home’ since the age of 14 until at least 2022, earning himself a hefty pay-rise in the process. His new deal means he will now earn in excess of £750,000 a season, bringing him in line with some of the highest paid players in the world.
The Lions star will earn in excess of £3.75m for the duration of his contract. Looks like we won’t be short of a few quid any time soon.
