Tournament hosts, France, have been hit with yet another major injury blow ahead of the Rugby World Cup next month.
Les Blues will be without talisman Romain Ntamack for the duration of the competition and now it has been revealed that will be be without star centre Jonathan Danty for their opening fixture.
And their opener comes in the size of the mighty All Blacks in what is France’s most difficult of all their pool games.
According to multiple reports in France, Danty has a hamstring issue that will not rule him out of the entire tournament but will likely see him miss the crucial tournament opener.
In France’s last 20 Test matches, Danty has started at inside centre on 13 occasions. Les Bleus have won all 13 of those games.
