Whoops.
British and Irish Lions winger emerged sporting a rather unique haircut on Wednesday night ahead of their game with South Africa ‘A’ that had everyone talking.
The Welsh flier was spotted sporting a tight skin fade with a ‘lightning bolt’ shaved into the back of his head, fitting considering the absolute electric pace the youngster possesses.
Hamish Watson was asked about the rather interesting hairstyle during the week with the Scottish flanker revealing the teammate got it as a result of a fine imposed on him by the fines committee but that the interesting design was very much the Welshman’s idea!
Rees-Zammit was then asked about the fine after yesterday’s win over the Stormers and it turns out it was pretty harmless – he lost a game of table tennis.
“It wasn’t anything stupid, I just lost a game of table tennis,” Rees-Zammit said.
“They fine you for whatever they can.
“That was my first fine, hopefully, I haven’t got any more.”
Harmless stuff from the youngster but a massive slip-up on his part revealing what the fine was for despite it being so innocuous. What happens on tour, stays on tour, as we all know.
Luke Cowan-Dickie was sat next to Rees-Zammit for the press conference and interjected before the youngster even got a chance to finish…
“No, no, no. He’s gonna have a lot more. He’s spoken about way too much tonight,” Cowan-Dickie said.
“I can’t really talk about the fines system, I think that’s where he’s gone wrong.
“We’ll just come together as a players’ group and decide.”
