Almost ready.
Scrumhalf Conor Murray will be “firing on all cylinders” if he makes his return against the All Blacks next weekend according to Ireland teammate Iain Henderson.
Murray hasn’t played a game yet this season, having been sidelined with a neck injury. But Murray is nearing full fitness and head coach Joe Schmidt has he will let the scrumhalf decide if he feels he can play against New Zealand on Saturday.
“If Conor were to come back in, I have no doubt in my mind that he would be back firing on all cylinders if he steps back in to play,” Henderson told RTÉ.
“But we just have to wait and see how his fitness is, how he slots back in to the training regime.”
“And if that’s going to happen, brilliant, but if it doesn’t, we’ve got three scrum-halves there, any of whom will step up to the challenge if selected.”
Do you think Murray will be ready to go for the All Blacks game?
