Back in business.
For many of us the ‘Champions Cup’ will always be known as the ‘Heineken Cup’ despite the competition restructuring a few years and adopting a new name.
But it now appears the famous European trophy will revert back to its former glory, with Heineken close to coming back on board as the tournament’s title sponsor according to reports by Midol this morning.
The only thing is ‘Champions Cup’ will likely remain in the name (the current format won’t be changing either) so we’ll probably be looking at the ‘Heineken Champions Cup’. Abbreviate that and we’ve got…. the Heineken Cup!
With Leinster crowned champions over the weekend and now Heineken set to come back on board – the natural order is set to be restored after a few shaky years. Absolutely wonderful. Now bring back the old trophy!
Midol reporting today that Heineken almost back on board as title sponsor for the Champions Cup, but that "Champions Cup" will remain part of the competition's name.

Interesting.
Heineken look as though they may become title sponsor of the Champions' Cup, again.
Which is handy.
Because I still call it that at least three times a week.
