According to reports in the Scottish press, Super 15 Southern Kings director of rugby Alan Solomons is set to join Edinburgh.
Alan Solomons is currently preparing the Kings for their Super Rugby promotion/relegation encounter against the Lions, and the Edinburgh Evening News have reported that once the two-leg play-off is complete, Solomons’ departure will be announced.
Edinburgh have been without a permanent coach since Michael Bradley was relieved of his duties in March 2013. Stevie Scott has been filling the role on an interim basis.
Solomons has been with the Kings since 2010 having previously enjoyed stints with the Stormers, Ulster and the Northampton Saints. The 62-year-old also acted has Nick Mallet’s assistant while he was Springbok coach.
