Try time.
We expected Ireland to come out firing today against Scotland after last weekend’s disappointing loss to England at home – and so far that’s exactly what we’re getting.
The Scots took an early lead thanks to a Greig Laidlaw penalty, but an excellent Jacob Stockdale kick put Scotland under pressure not long after, allowing Conor Murray to take advantage and score the opening try.
Not long after Ireland had their second thanks to a play that looks like it came straight from the training ground. A switch from Peter O’Mahony to Sexton with Stockdale running a hard line at pace off his shoulder led to an excellent score for the Ulster winger.
Great start from Joe Schmidt’s men.
