Dropping like flies.
For the last number of months a huge talking point in terms of the current Ireland squad is the apparent “strength-in-depth” that now exists almost in every position.
The question of depth goes back as far as the 2015 Rugby World Cup when Ireland were caught out by Argentina in the quarter final after losing a number of key players in pool stages.
This weekend Ireland take on Scotland away from home with no fewer than 10 key players out missing through injury, including three British and Irish Lions (and a few future ones).
Ireland’s current injury list.

Iain Henderson
Tadhg Beirne
Garry Ringrose
Robbie Henshaw
Andrew Conway
CJ Stander
Dan Leavy
Luke McGrath
Kieran Marmion
But with guys like Jack Conan, Chris Farrell and Sean O’Brien coming in, the men in green look to be in pretty good shape. But there’s no doubting Ireland’s depth will certainly be put to the test this weekend. Question is, will they pass?
