This is reckless.
New Zealand Rugby has come under fire in the last week, after a controversial hit in the All Blacks vs France game on Saturday on Remi Grosso went unpunished, despite the French man suffering a double skull fracture.
Having reviewed all available camera angles, the Citing Commissioner considered All Blacks prop Ofa Tu’ungafasi to have executed a dangerous tackle “just short of” red card level (in accordance with World Rugby Regulation 17), which caused the injury to France wing Grosso.
Cane’s hit was adjudged to have been worthy of no more than a penalty.
And now the Baby Blacks are the subject of some heavy criticism, after a controversial stamp in last night’s U20s semi-final defeat to France. A penalty was awarded on the night, but upon closer inspection – perhaps a further sanction was required.
Superbe stamping à 20 m du ballon. Par contre c'est pas sur la tête, mais bien le bras. Après le français, ça fait deux fois qu'il est du mauvais coté. Il a rien à foutre là. pic.twitter.com/wlQOhmZZFc
