Almost there.
Following on from reports yesterday, it appears Paddy Jackson’s move to Perpignan is moving along nicely, with the French media stating his move to the newly-promoted side is imminent.
Jackson has been linked with a number of clubs since he has his contract revoked by Ulster and the IRFU, including Clermont, Sale Sharks, Brive and Mitre 10 Cup side Waikato.
But it appears the saga is nearing an end, and Jackson will be plying his trade in the Top 14 next season. Rugby Rama are reporting that talks are at a very ‘advanced’ stage between Jackson and Perpignan.
“The arrival of Paddy Jackson at USAP is only a matter of time.”
“Talks between the Catalan club and the Irish international are very advanced.”
“Both parties would have even reached an agreement at the beginning of the week.”
Former teammate Stuart Olding will also be playing in France next season, but the pair will not come up against each other as opposition with Olding signing for PRO D2 side Brive.
