Luke Fitzgerald Tears Into Paul Kimmage Again On Twitter Over Munster Comments

Round 2.

Luke Fitzgerald and Paul Kimmage got in a bit of a Twitter spat last year over comments the latter made about the All-Ireland football final between Dublin and Mayo.

Kimmage thought they cheated to win the game, with Fitzgerald outraged that Kimmage would use that word, especially considering the former cyclist previously admitted to doping in the sport.

The spat resulted in Fitzgerald inviting him on to his podcast The Left Wing, resulting in a heated exchange between the two, leaving their relationship even more worse off at the end of it.

Things have now kicked off again this year, with Fitzgerald attacking Kimmage again for his comments on Munster’s Gerbrandt Grobler, who is set to make his competitive debut for the southern province this weekend.

Grobler has previously served a two-year doping ban, with Munster head coach Johann van Graan defending him this week, claiming the lock has learnt his lesson. Kimmage launched an attack yesterday, and Fitzgerald was having none of it.
