This doesn’t look good for the Lions prop.
Harlequins prop Kyle Sinckler faces a nervous wait over the next few days after footage showed him allegedly gouging Northampton Saints’ Michael Paterson in the Aviva Premiership today.
In the 49th minute both players found themselves buried deep within a ruck and Sinckler can be clearly seen pulling off the Saints man’s scrum cap. Contact is then allegedly made with Paterson’s eye.
Sinckler was lucky enough to get away with just a penalty for pulling off Patterson’s scrum cap on the day as the footage appeared inconclusive to the referee. But if you take a close look you can see contact with Paterson’s eye, something no doubt citing officials will spot.
To make matters worse, Quins left Franklins’ Gardens empty handed wit the Saints securing a bonus-point win thanks to tries from George North, Tom Collins, Mickey Haywood and Ahsee Tuala.
