Wallabies Star Kurtley Beale Caught Up In Leaked ‘Cocaine’ Video Scandal

“Young blood.”

Wallabies star Kurtley Beale has been forced to apologise after being caught up a a video scandal that sees him present in a room as an older man snorts what appears to be a ‘cocaine-like’ white powder substance.

The video features NRL player Corey Normal egging on an older gentleman who snorts white powder from a dinner plate.

“That’s the young blood right there baby.” Normal says in the clip

“Get it baby, get it” he adds.

The video then pans to a couch where former Wasps star Beale can be seen drinking a can and laughing. The footage is believed to be filmed back in 2016 when Norman was a member of NRL side the Parramatta Eels.

Rugby Australia chief executive Raelene Castle released the following statement on Tuesday, with Beale apologising for his part in the video.

“Rugby Australia only became aware of the vision after it had surfaced on social media on Monday afternoon and understands that it was recorded in 2016,” Castle said.

“After becoming aware that the vision was being shared on social media, Kurtley contacted me last night to apologise for the negative attention the video had attracted and expressed regret at putting himself in a compromising position at that time.”

“Kurtley has today met with Rugby Australia’s Integrity Unit to provide his version of events and the high standards that are expected of him as a professional Rugby player have been firmly reiterated.”

“Kurtley acknowledges that his presence in the video and the humour he expressed at the incident at the time does not reflect the image that is expected of a professional rugby player.”
