Ah lads.
Munster and Ireland star Simon Zebo was left chuckling this morning after a UK t-shirt company congratulated him on his Six Nations ‘Grand Slam win.’
Yes Ireland did indeed win the Grand Slam this year with a win over England at Twickenham on the final day, but unfortunately for Zebo – he wasn’t part of the celebrations.
Despite being a prominent member of Joe Schmidt’s squad for the last few years, Zebo was dropped by the Ireland boss back in November after announcing he will be moving to France at the end of the season.
He wasn’t selected during Ireland’s Six Nations campaign, and did not win a Grand Slam. But in fairness to the Corkman, he saw the funny side of it. Top man.
@SimonZebo congratulations winning the Grand Slam. Would you mind letting your followers know about our Irish Grand Slam t-shirts please: https://t.co/B1FbUb2WTy #Champions #GrandSlamChampions #sixnations2018 #Ireland #irish #GrandSlam pic.twitter.com/e76fQQCfvF
