Injury blow.
Keith Earls looks set to miss Ireland’s clash with South Africa at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this weekend.
The Munster winger has been suffering with an injury picked up in training, and has reportedly failed a late fitness test, with provincial teammate Andrew Conway set to take his place in the starting XV.
Another Munsterman, in the shape of Darren Sweetnam, is set to make his debut off the bench as a result. Bundee Aki meanwhile is favourite to get the nod in the centre alongside Robbie Henshaw.
Schmidt is set to name his team shortly.
