Legendary former Lions captain Willie John McBride says he cannot understand why Warren Gatland has dropped Brian O’Driscoll for Saturday’s decisive Final Test against Australia.
“Nobody can tell me that Jamie Roberts is a better player than Brian O’Driscoll,” McBride told BBC Northern Ireland.
McBride added that a number of decisions on this summer’s tour suggests that the “concept and ethos of the Lions has been forgotten”.
