You just couldn’t make this up.
USA PRO Rugby recently ran a poll for fans to vote on the names of the inaugural teams – Denver, San Diego, Ohio, San Francisco and Sacramento. All sounds well and good but there was a certain choice for Sacramento that we couldn’t help but notice.

The Sacramento Steamers ladies and gentlemen! Could you imagine it! Perhaps it doesn’t have the same meaning over in America, but it means something here in Ireland and it isn’t exactly good name choice.
Luckily for Sacramento, Steamers didn’t win. A shame really, it would have been hilarious!
