This is going to be a tough watch.
Ruan Pienaar has just one game left in an Ulster jersey with the northern province set to take on the Barbarians next month. The South African scrumhalf is being forced to leave after seven seasons with the northern province.
The inspirational number nine has been refused the opportunity to finish his career with the Ulster after the IRFU made it clear that he must move on as a result of their succession policy.
Pienaar has admitted that being forced to uproot his young family has made the IRFU’s decision to end his time in Belfast all the more difficult to stomach. Pienaar will join Montpellier ahead of next season and at 32 years of age, his next contract is likely to be his last.
BBC 1 Northern Ireland are set to air a special documentary on Monday at 22:40, documenting the Pienaar and his family’s last few weeks with the province. Bring the tissues lads, this one is going to hit you right in the feels.
