Holy sh*t.
Castres lock Ryno Pieterse has stunned the rugby world with one of the most insane tackles we’ve ever witnessed on a rugby pitch, that saw him immediately sent off against Bordeaux-Begles yesterday afternoon in the Top 14.
On the pitch just 13 minutes, Pieterse went charging after Bordeaux scrumhalf, Maxime Lucu, launching himself into the air headfirst before tacking his opponent late and almost putting him into another dimension.
It looks more like something you’d see Bill Goldberg do in a WWE ring and certainly does not belong on a rugby pitch. The Bordeaux players understandably lost the plot with Pieterse following the hit, but referee Romain Poite had a red card in his hand immediately.
Check it out for yourself below. A red card is the least of his worries once the citing commission gets their hands on this footage.
HOLY SH*T! 😳😳
Absolutely ridiculous hit.
What was he thinking?
You won’t see an easier red card all year. 🛑
