We showed you the massive brawl that broke out in the Brive and Grenoble game earlier on but it appears something much worse happened in the second-half.
The referee would have hoped that what happened in the first-half would have been forgotten when they resumed for the second but evidently not with this latest footage. Whether he was part of the brawl earlier or not is not apparent but Brive’s Matthieu Ugalde can ben seen below making contact with Armand Battle’s eye.
The incident is sickening and will surely leave Ugalde facing a lengthy ban when Top 14 officials review the video evidence in the coming week.
